November Update: Zebra Daylight Processing Tanks – Shipping is about to start
Before we jump into this kickstarter s update, a quick reminder: our Black Friday deals are still running, but only until today at 22:00 CET. November Update: Shipping Timeline, Production Status and Important Info for U.S. Backers
We are still aiming to start shipping the tanks in early December, which is actually a few weeks ahead of the original estimate. Over the past weeks, we have been preparing all the small details needed to make sure that when your tank arrives, your experience is smooth and intuitive from the moment you open the box.
It is not only the physical product. It is the brochures, user manuals, packaging, and all the small things that matter to us. Finalizing these takes time and a lot of effort, but it will be well worth the wait.
When we set our original shipping schedule at the beginning of the campaign, we never imagined we would end up preparing to ship over 600 tanks plus numerous film and plate adapters. Sticking to a December shipping schedule under these conditions is something we are extremely proud of and something very few campaigns manage to deliver.
Quality has always been our top priority, and we refused to rush anything. We have taken extra care in fine-tuning every detail, and we cannot wait for you to see the final result.
Production Status: First Batch Shipping This Week
We are excited to share that the first batch of tanks is already finished and will be shipped out this week.
This is a huge milestone for us.
A quick reminder about production:
We are producing every tank ourselves in-house from start to finish.
We did not outsource production to a factory in China. Instead:
- Every tank is made one by one in our workshop
- Each unit is individually inspected
- We supervise every step of the process to guarantee consistent quality
This hands-on approach takes more time, but it ensures that every single tank meets our standards.
💡 How Are the Tanks Looking?
In short: amazing.
Most improvements were already shown in our previous update, but we made a few final refinements that make the tank even better. We are thrilled with the result and cannot wait for you to try them.
Important Shipping Notice
DDP Option for U.S. Backers: Please Read
In the next couple of days, you will receive a survey where we will:
- Collect your final shipping address
- Ask whether you need any changes to your pledge
- Let U.S. backers choose how they prefer their reward to be shipped
Once surveys are in, we will begin fulfilling pledges in chronological order.
Please keep in mind that shipping will likely take at least one month, possibly longer due to the December holidays and New Year period.
About U.S. Import Duties: Two Options in the Survey
After our campaign was funded in early July, U.S. import regulations changed. All goods imported from the EU are now subject to import tax. This was impossible to foresee during the campaign.
To accommodate this, U.S. backers will be offered two options:
Option 1 (Recommended): We handle the duties for you with DDP shipping
This is the easiest and fastest choice.
- Select DDP shipping in the survey
- We send you a payment link for the 15 percent import duty
- We handle all customs procedures
- Your package arrives directly at your door with no delays or unexpected charges
Important:
We do not profit from this fee.
The full amount goes directly toward U.S. import duties.
Our only goal is to make delivery smooth and hassle-free.
Based on our experience shipping hundreds of parcels to the U.S. from our Zebra store, DDP consistently provides the best experience.
Option 2: You handle customs yourself
- Select the self-clearance option
- We ship your package normally
- You pay all import duties when your package reaches U.S. Customs
- Delivery may be delayed until all steps are completed
This option works but requires more effort and typically takes longer.
Add-Ons: How to Request Them
Kickstarter does not allow add-ons directly through the survey.
However, if you would like to include extra adapters, additional tanks, PlateSafes, dry plates, or anything else from the Zebra line, please leave us a note in the survey.
We will review every request personally and contact you with options.
